Laser Tattoo Removal

This exciting innovation offers a relatively pain free procedure.

How does it work?

Active Q -Switched Lasers create a very short pulse which is absorbed by the tattoo ink particles, breaking them down into smaller pieces. The body allows absorption and dispersal of the ink.

Fadeout occurs over a number of treatments. Be realistic often tattoos can take upto 12 treatments, some self inked can disappear after 3, cover ups can take 18 treatments or more.

The number of treatments will always be dictated by the colours within the tattoo, the depth of colour and the area it is on. Large areas have to be broken down into smaller areas for example a whole or half sleeve will be divided into sections to allow the body to cope with trauma induced by the removal.

Removal or reduction is greatly recommended as an alternative to a cover up as it allows you to have a completely fresh design to the area enhancing your tattoos rather than spoiling the look.

Treatment time is quick between 15 and 30 minutes.

Pricing is realistic usually between £25.00 and £40.00

Spacing between treatments is a minimum of 8 weeks on the same area

Post procedure cooling is the most important after care, a cold damp flannel applied at regular intervals should ensure a safe outcome.

Dont’s, you can not be treated if you have either a genuine or a cosmetic tan in the area to be treated as the pigment will also pick up the light. Be aware…You must cover the area being treated if you go on a tanning holiday!

Extra costs:    All Laser procedures require a full consultation and test patch which comprises a partial treatment, this is an essential requirement to assess whether or not your skin can tolerate the procedure and ensures our medical insurance kicks in.

Consultation and test patch cost is £25.00 allow upto 45 minutes. Treatment can then take place 48 hours after test patch.

With darker skin types such as 5 and 6 you may wish to wait up to 12 weeks to see if your skin colour has been affected.

Equipment used is the Lynton Lumina AQS System, fully maintained and serviced by Lynton.

The majority of colours will respond.
